Report him to the DWP then the police, or not the choice is yours I can't see why anyone needs help from a faceless forum to do the right thing family or not tbh.0

Return any mail as 'not at this address'.0

I agree, return the mail as not at this address. He will soon sort it out when he doesn't receive any money.Torgwen..........

It is deceitful in that no permission was asked for.
Bear in mind, your address might not be just being used for a JSA claim.
One other point, if your brother is in an area with Universal Credit, any housing benefits get paid to the tenant, which does leave the scenario that some will abuse this system.
Generally you'd get notification if anyone applied for housing benefit to use as rent in your address.
Someone having your address as their official address does leave too much room for it to be abused.
Unless you trust your bro 100%, I'd put a stop to this just in case it has more impact.
Anyone who was looking for your brother, would be knocking at your door.
My instinct says no. Just because he is family gives no guarantee of safety.0 -
i think he needs to get down the job centre / citizens advice and get it sorted >
"no permanent residence, sleeping at friends house(s) < so i wrote my sisters house down".
like instead of going around the houses, with ideas, just get him to go tell them ? (and then it is on the records also).
then there should not be problems for anyone ? (fingers crossed)0 -

Hi, thats a good point about U.C, it may already be that.
I chat with people now who get the two mixed up, one person the other week ask me if he could claim JSA and could i help him, after about 10 minutes or so he had already tried to claim U.C.
Been turned down at the Job Center and at the C.A.B again told he could not claim but someone told him he would get JSA if he was turned down for U.C and to come and ask me0
