Do I need to have the tracking redone?
Yes, definitely. No question about it.
  • Id rather wait for the garage to get their new alignment machine, or let them get the tracking done elsewhere.

If National have trouble aligning it or it pulls to one side afterwards you could get into a game of one garage blaming the other and you piggy in the middle, if the garage doing the work get it aligned its their pigeon to sort until its right.

yes tracking needed with the work as stated on the suspension.

It won't necesarily need doing as they aren't replacing anything affecting the direction (like track rods or steering rack) however the suspension might settle a little differently. You could leave it and see if you get uneven tyre wear; if not you don't need it done. Sometimes I've had tracking 'done' that has actually made the car handling and tyre wear significantly worse.

The bottom arms are coming off both sides. The struts are coming off both sides. The struts are coming apart on both sides. One bottom arm is being replaced.

That's two of the three points which "adjust" the tracking being disturbed. The adjustment on the track rod end allows for production tolerances in the bottom arms and the strut tops to be compensated for.

    It needs tracking.

Yes, I've had tracking done very badly, leaving it set up wrongly, too.
