Flat roof repair cost

We have a side part next to our house that has a flat roof. It has been suggested that we get it redone as it gathers water when raining. It is not leaking but do you know what the rough costs for repairing this/ re felting it.

Need to know the size and condition of the substrate etc. But also what type of roof you want to replace it with?

It is 22ft by 5ft with a felt cover. It has gathered water when raining but not leaked. Ideally want it to move water off than sit on top after raining.

Instead of messing about with felt you should consider epdm rubber it comes in one piece and will last far longer..
I have had 2 flat roofs fitted with it and am more than pleased.. http://www.permaroofstore.co.uk/

Epdm material cost approx £300 plus another £100 for timber firing and replacement 3/4" plywood. Ball park figures only 1 days work for 2 people

I can tell you the best way and the cost, but I can't really recommend it.

We wet fibre glassed a garage roof a couple of years back now, it will never leak again and you can walk on it without fear of puncturing a rubber liner.

The cost will all the preformed edges and fascias plus tools is likely to be around £350 for a roof that size, BUTit is absolutely the messiest job you can imagine and most of the tools you use and the gloves and coveralls get binned at the end of the day.
Also you need to hit perfect weather. 1 day to fix roof and fix edging, 1 day to add GRP, 2 man job and elbow grease.
It's a bit like plastering, the set times govern the work rate, get that wrong or mix too much and you have a solid plastic bucket:rotfl:

Would I go that route again?, everytime
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
