HP 3632 all in one printer will not connect to USB port

I have just purchased an HP 3632 All in one printer. Despite following instructions it will not allow me to connect through my USB port to my PC, I can connect via wireless but that is not what I require at the moment. I am on Windows 10. Can anyone suggest how I can remedy.I have tried to HP chat line support but that only covers USA and Canada. there is not one for the UK. can someone suggest why I cannot connect via my USB port please.

Are both the printer and USB port compatible, re: USB versions?
