I think your argument is with the seller rather than the EA.
I imagine the EA probably said to the seller:
The buyer's sale has fallen through. They say they will start again at square one by looking at bridging finance. (Which lots of people talk about, but very few people actually end up going with). There's also a cash buyer who's interested in offering on your property.
