We've got the bamboo stuf along our fences, it stays there all the time quite happily.0 -

They're not a bad idea for some - but its true that the gales here would probably shred them unfortunately.0 -
It's a hard enough life, being a socally active nudist in Britain, without nosy neighbours........:(
Aw shucks Dave - and I rather gave up the nudity with advancing age (not to "frighten the horses" you know...:rotfl:).
I'm never going to be able to block all "views" in this garden - ie to be able to go out with nowt on. But I'll settle for removing the "grandstand/dead in your face" views - which sometimes include them standing there rudely peering straight at me because they can see me so clearly.0 -

In that situation, I know my friends and I would just stare back and find it all very amusing.0 -

At least it's not the neighbours that are hard....
If you can't block the view entirely with a six-foot potted hedge, opt for a three dimensional block, mixing taller and shorter plants. Use some evergreens for discretion, but mix with fluid grasses that will move in the lightest breeze, or taller plants that will break up the background. Choose differing colours, fluttering leaves, light coloured pots, darker foliage.
Believe it or not, I once wrote a learned tome on depth camouflage ... You could even find it online, but you'd have to search really really hard ..0 -

Are you sure they didn't make it it into a short film?

There was a pull out advert in my new tv listings magazine for a company hssuk.co.uk which had some goods which may be of use to help solve this problem. For instance there's a portable expanding fence and a faux ivy privacy roll.
I have no idea about quality.0
