Interesting; can I ask what they do? I just have adblock (plus?) and comodo's media downloader at present.

uBlock Origin is an alternative to Adblock (and Plus), purportedly less resource-intensive and without the alleged "spyware" of Ablock Plus.

As far as I can tell Ghostery does a somewhat similar job.

That's what the Mozilla browser turned into, isn't it? It reminds me of Netscape Navigator.

Apparently it uses the same rendering-engine as Firefox (which is the browser I typically use).

That's right - SeaMonkey has a lot in common with Firefox. The main difference is it retained the traditional menu driven interface.

Like Netscape before, it's also an "internet suite" including mail client, HTML composer, and IRC client bundled together - though I make little use of anything other than the browser.

I've also seen a number of tests claim it's a faster browser than Firefox.

this is actually a more tricky question to answer than at first glance, it depends on so much... let me explain...

My favourite browser is Opera v12.17, which I tend to use for online radio more than anything these days, but thinking of returning to it full-time for everything.

I also use IE for a specific set of home pages, saves opening new tabs in another browser.

I've been using FF as a "main" browser for a while, but see Opera above...

..and I've being trying Yandex out recently - I don't like Chrome, but even though Yandex is based on it it seems to be better all-round..

like I said, not such a straightforward question to answer ;)

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

Waterfox + uBlock Origin + NoScript, with Palemoon + Adblock Latitude + NoScript as backup.
Years back when I first tried Waterfox, I found it a bit rubbish, but now I find it to be really good.
For Win 10 laptop and XP desktop, both 32bit, same Palemoon setup as above.

IE 11 is only used for listening to BBC radio online, it seems to crash when used with my other browsers.
    Move along, nothing to see.

I was a huge fan of Opera for years but stopped using it when it became nothing more than a slight reskin of Chrome.

I'm now using Vivaldi which is out of beta and made by one of the main guys who was behind Opera.
