Credit Card Fraud many years ago

Hi All.

im talking about 8 years ago here. But i was on a night out (not drunk) The next day a £30.00 transaction was drawn from my account and also a £10.00 transaction (i had lost my card)

Egg refused this as fraud and said that my pin was used in the cash machine first time and wouldnt treat this as fraud.
I managed to get cctv footage of the person using my card (who i didnt know)

Egg were still not interested.

Its always played on my mind that EGG palmed me off in this situation.
8 years on would their be point in trying to claim this back? obviously i dont have no information now, it would only be what i supplied them with in the first place if they still have it.

any tips or should i just leave it alone.

Thanks
Fender
