I am buying (for better or worse) a second hand Toyota. There are various extras that I need to decide on before I buy it yesterday.
This includes Gap insurance which is £300 instead of £67 from https://easygap.co.uk/
So I will not be buying that.
Smart cover £300 for years protection for small chips
And a thing to protect the surface for £300.
I don't know if the last two are worth it, any ideas?

    Definitely not.

I was quoted £300 for minor damage protection on my Mercedes. That's almost as much as my comprehensive insurance.

I found the same cover online for £110, but decided against as I've managed without it for 40 years.

Don't buy any of that rubbish. As you've done your gap yourself you can see the difference in price. Get your self on eBay and look at the price of the polish your self- about £20. The main stealer is about to deliver a spanking! That's their job, yours is to say no. Enjoy your new car!

Buy a touch-up pen and repair any little chips yourself, like the rest of us do!
