I feel a bit uncomfortable about this but I placed a 10 quid bet on the England Game to be a 1-1 draw yesterday and I won 65 quid. Love the money but feel guilty and unpatriotic. My boyfriend (who loves gaining and saving money) even said he would have preferred it if England had won. But 65 quid is 65 quid I need. Considering it was the first time I had ever made a bet part of me is very happy.

I wouldnt worry about being unpatriotic. England need to pull their socks up if they want to win anything this year!

    well done on your win.

  • Had a tiny sale on eBay, after postage and fees I made a whopping £1.78, and also have some space as I sold a large bag of beads and jewellery making bits. Mum's said I can clear out her old jewellery making gear as well so I need to get that lot photographed and listed next.

Also going to claim £96.66 car tax refund from the DVLA. It's earned because a scrap dealer took it off my hands back in March, after waiting 7 weeks for my refund it hadn't arrived so I had to phone the DVLA, get put on hold for 10 minutes, talk to someone who I think may have been new but was very helpful, got put on hold again because they had to check with a manager, and then eventually got told that their system confirmed the car wasn't mine anymore, but they hadn't actually issued the refund and couldn't tell me why :naughty:

So it's now been at least 10, if not 11, weeks since I got rid of my car and the refund has FINALLY arrived. If it hadn't included a phonecall to complain then I wouldn't count it, but since I had to put in some effort I'm adding it to this month's total.

Late update from me - thought I had hayfever but its a cold that has gone to my chest. Sitting on the sofa breathing like I've run a marathon!! Have hardly done anything for last few days due to runny eyes lol

Anyway - another £3 from ebay and £10 from mobile expressions that I missed in my inbox midweek.

Back on the spare room of doom tomorrow...
