As of today 180919. my granddaughter is now my official granddaughter, adoption finally granted

Birth certificates are ONLY available directly from the official records office, for about £9-10.
Subscriptions do not give access to that sort of records, they'd just have the name/quarter of the birth listed and no more.
No money saving can be done in getting a replacement certificate.
Use the local office where the birth was registered as that might be a few pennies cheaper than the central office.0 -
The ref number is not a replacement certificate. You can order a replacement cert with out the ref number :

Costs abt £9.50 or go to your local Reg office.0 -

It is a birth from 1996, I have done a lot of family history but at the moment, I didn't want to subscribe to anywhere.
