Halifax / Llyods student account opening on new address

I just moved to a new address and would like to open a Halifax and Lloyds student account. I think that moving to a new address is not good for creditcheck.
Is it better for me to tell them I am already living in the new address for a couple of years? Will they try to validate such details with credit agencies?
