Vanguard 80 issues with best invest. Can't add to fund!!??? Help

So we have managed to add cash to the account this is the second month it's been open. It's a SIPP with the intention to drip feed £250 a month into the above. The first 250 we got in there ok and invested it into vanguard 80 acc. However now it's keeps telling us can't invest in same fund!? What the damn hell!? Why can't we add to the investment? We don't want to have £250 sitting in cash in there!? Please can someone help us. We have tried and tried a million ways. Please help

Who is the SIPP provider?

Have you by any chance set up an automatic regular investment instruction that only takes place on a certain day?

There is no automatic investment set up and this was deliberate

Their is either an issue with the system or we are doing something wrong. We have added £250 in cash because trying to add it directly to the fund wouldn't work. It also now won't let us convert the cash into the fund because it keeps saying that we can't invest in the same fund

It says fund already exists you cannot add the same fund again

We are not trying to add it again we are trying to increase the amount we have in the fund already! It is incredibly frustrating

Don't know about bast invest, but on other platforms, to buy more units / shares in something I already hold you have to:
a) make sure the cash is already available (not just paid over, but effectively "cleared"
b) Go to the page where you view your portfolio, and then there is usually a small icon on the same line as that unit / stock which allows you to trade. It takes you to the screen where you can buy / sell.
c) make sure you aren't effectively asking it to put all the funds in the stock, when the site needs you to keep some back for charges - either platform charges or trading charges.

Thank you I'll try looking at it again

We are not trying to add the entire amount, but it could be that it's not cleared yet. Was going to leave some free for fees. We can't call best invest until Tuesday now hence asking here.

Sounds like finger trouble. Is there a help option on bestinvest? I'd have thought there must be so you ought to find some instructions on how to add to an existing fund.

If you cant find them either have a computer savvy friend have a look, I'm sure you'll be missing something obvious, or just call them and asked to be talked through it.

BTW you may very likely find that there is a low or no fees option to do regular monthly savings and by separately purchasing £250 a month you are needlessly incurring extra fees. There is with my provider anyway.

Thank you we will try again today and if no success will call them tomorrow.

I looked and even googled the issue and for instructions and had no luck

When we call we will ask about the fee options thank you!
