Morning all. I am back with you after our coach trip to South Devon. We had an enjoyable five days and the weather was kind to us with just some overnight rain on Thursday. Did much tripping about with visits to Totnes and the steam train ride, Buckfast Abbey, Plymouth and a cruise round the harbour and up the Tamar and sightseeing from the coach over Dartmoor. Made use of our bus passes too, visiting Brixham and Torquay. Of course we did far too much eating and two Devon cream teas whilst out and about didn't help either!
We just have a couple of days at home to get sorted out and then set off again on Tuesday morning for Mr TA's next radionuclide therapy session at the Royal Liverpool. If all goes to plan we will be back home again on Thursday. I shall be staying at The Liner again on my ownsome whilst he is in hospital and spend the whole time worrying as usual! We got our train tickets before our break so that's one job less. I am feeling all churned up now we are back home and it was nice to put it out of our minds last week.
I haven't caught up on any news yet so hope everyone had a good week. WiFi so hit and miss at the hotel I gave up trying to catch up on my phone.
Have a good day all and I hope the sun is shining on you all. (((HUGS))) where wanted/needed and take care xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Good morning all.
I spent Saturday trying to de clutter but then went to the car boot sale this morning. I was good though, and only bought some plants for my hanging baskets and some blue and white old style dinner plates to go with my eclectic set. The lady who I bought the three plates from was telling me how her mum (now passed away) used to display them on a dresser. I think she was quite pleased when I said I would look after them, love them and that I also had a dresser and they would go on. I am slowly getting rid of my ordinary plates and replacing them with the more retro blue and white 'country' style ones. I will continue to de cluttering today and will concentrate on the upstairs landing, as their is a lot of clutter there that
Rest of the day will be cooking a shepherds pie as I have mince that ends using today. I will also probably end up at the park with DS. There is an Aldi next to the park so I may pop in there for a few items.
LaineyT that food parcel sounds delicious. Made me think of the famous five and what they used to take on picnics.xx
Right, I better crack on.
Hope you all have a lovely Sunday xxx“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. Your really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.” Lucille Ball.0 -

Good Morning everyone and thanks Dumpling for starting us off .
I do hope you manage to go shoe shopping today . I am in awe of how much you've achieved recently so I hope you can again today .
As I was signing in I noticed TA is back from her hols . I love Totnes so much . I'm glad you enjoyed the break and please try not to fret about the visit to the Royal - that's a bit " pot , kettle , black " we're due back there in July and I know I'll worry !
Camelot I don't know if you have b&m north of the border but I picked up a short handled brush with narrow wire bristles there recently , they also had a long handled version but I had other shopping to do and couldn't get round town in tourist season with a long wiry brush . It is sold as a weed remover and designed for narrow spaces .
Lyn Glad to here the foot is feeling better .
Lainey Hpoe the leg mends soon , horsey is ok on the meds . Enjoy your mum time .
Csarina Have you shaken that cold off yet ? Hope you feel better soon .
Tru Have you tried Vanish powder for whites ? I have had success soaking in the solution and then washing .
Elona That was a lovely gesture from your daughters . I would be interested in some feedback on the multi cooker when you've given it a good test run . My kitchen will be ripped out some time in the next few months and although I have a combi microwave I have a real dislike of both it and slow cookers . I know that is utter os heresy !!! I am a traditional cook and years ago I used a multi cooker that produced meals comparable to oven cooking .
I would also welcome a hint re your I*e* wardrobes . I have been looking for solid wood but they are either massivly overpriced or don't have much space in them . I assume yours are mdf ? They sound good on space and flexible so if I know what I'm looking for I will check them out online .
I hope Mr & Mrs LW are having a good holiday .
Hugs to Hilstep and any who need some and apologies to any I've missed .
I checked earlier and it's 17 days since I posted on the daily . I have yet again had another series of crashes and flares . I don't know why but this year I seem to be having too many bad days . I have always been one to just get on with stuff but I am finding it a struggle right now . It seems to date back to the massive hitting the floor a few months ago and it is having a real impact on my mood . The house has to be renovated before winter and I will not put it off again . It has been deferred for years and is now in need of a full rewire , new heating system and lots of trades . There is a lot to do before I can book the work and I confess I am finding it a struggle to hang the wash
ing out let alone start sorting things and lifting heavy boxes .
I'm aware that I shouldn't push through flares which is why I've not been posting but I will have to to achieve anything . The whole thing is really having an effect on my mind I am feeling frustrated and quite upset as I've always been the doer and the positive one and hate feeling a bit useless and helpless . Anyway sorry for the rant , these are the things I can't say in real life so thanks for being here :A

Evening everyone
Had a tough few days. FIl passed away peacefully on Friday surrounded by family following his battle with cancer. No longer suffering.
Ds2 had his birthday today, went paintballing, had a great day then BBQ tonight. Can't believe he leaves school in 2 weeks, scary.
OS not much apart from everyday things to keep things going.
Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care0
