Hi,
so my family were due to fly to Spain tonight-literally unloading the cases at Gatwick and got a text saying our flight was cancelled. Apparently there were storms in Jersey which caused delays and meant the crew had worked too many air hours and now plane couldn't fly as no crew. EasyJet offered refund and we were told no flights until Tuesday /Wednesday ( awful customer service, no info, or help provided- but that's another story!) ...anyway, we came home and I have been online and applied for a refund.
I have telephoned the transfers we booked and they are now cancelled and the out of hours service "think" I may be able to get a refund if I phone in the morning and I have messaged the villa we booked to say we're now not coming.
At the airport, someone mentioned a form you can complete from E??? for compensation- does anyone know anything about this? Also I am worried that we may not be able to claim for the cost of the holiday on our insurance as it was not a package and everything was booked separately- therefore our accommodation (the villa) is "still available for us to use"....any advice much appreciated
