Problems topping up 3G phone.

I've just tried to top up an android smart phone.
I dialed the number, followed the instructions and entered the voucher number.
However, when I tried to select an add on, it wouldn't respond to my key input, then it said "Sorry, your number cannot be found. Goodbye", then it hung up.
I went to the 3 website, via my Hudl, entered the phone's number, and tried topping up from there, but it says the voucher has already been used.
Presumably, the £10 is now on the account, but how do I access the credit, to choose an add on?
"On the Web Top-up" page, the only options are two tabs, entitled "Credit/Debit Card" and "Voucher".

If you’re on Pay As You Go, the cost of your Add-on will be taken from your credit. Before you buy an Add-on, you need to make sure that you've got enough credit to cover the cost.0 -
