Did she give permission for her fence to actually be removed? Did she agree to that design and did they show her plans? Did they offer any money for it if they didn't return it?
I would be sending a letter stating they have 28 days to remove their fence from my property and reinstating my old fence. If they fail to do this you will have the work done yourself and bill them for it.
Or get in touch with the builder and point out his error?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

She actually knew the guy who did the job, he is a freelance gardener and had done some jobs for her in the past.
There were bo plans or design, the guy just told her he was decking and putting up a new fence next door. He said it would affect her fence as he would have to replace the existing joining piece between the 2 wooden feces with a concrete pillar but that he would make it good at her side as he would have to fix her fence again for support. He did not say that the concrete pillar would be 2 foot into her garden. As it is now she has her own wooden fence running along the bottom and then the pillar and 2 foot of different fencing with a high white concrete base at the bottom.
Even at the side of her garden between them it looks odd as he has replaced the fencing to match his other but only as far as his conservatory which he could not do behind so now the side of her garden has 2 different types of fence. None of the side needed replacing as it was only done a little over 2 years ago and they paid between them for it but he wanted it all matching on all 3 sides of his garden.. The people on the other side of him say they dont like it from their side either but they have no problem as because the conservatory is on my sisters side of the garden they have matching fencing all the way down and as he has started the bottom fence from their side there is no overlap into their garden.
She has spoken to both the neighbour and the guy who di it and made it clear she is unhappy. The builder agreed it looks bad but said he did it on their instructions and didnt think she would be so bothered!0 -
We had a couple move in next door who almost rebuilt the property over 3 years almost constant noise during the working day....the workmen done the jobs requested regardless of the neighbours...the other neighbour next door to them only used the property by day so he was affected but would never complain to them only us!!!they had the front patio built up 3 feet to line up with the lounge level with steps up to the front door all enclosed by a six foot breeze block wall his side making his bedroom dark being on the side also. They could not believe it when I told them how uphappy he was with the wall etc etc...We had fence issues when one day he arrived in our back garden and announced he intended to put up a 6 foot fence along our side way on his side as the 2 foot border wall belonged to us. Our only kitchen window would be blocked of light like he constantly told us it would be alright....2 foot original wall was there for that reason (1930's property). We said we have a law that protects our right to light and you would be not allowed to do that.....we had many issues over there almost new build of a 1930's property in those horrid 3 years but although we stood our ground we had to move in the end... People living close to others need to show some consideration or there is always going to be upsets. The guy that done this is no better really so I would think you sister needs some legal help/advice. We made sure of our rights first and then took things into our own hands...fireworks at times It was not pleasant living next to people that you do not speak to though except conflict with0
