Just been on that uswitch site and checked my SP June 2017 tarrif, after just completing the May 17 switch only last weekend.

It refused to give me cheaper quotes and says this tarrif can't be beaten. Duly switched for nought, again, and hallelujah to the nice Scottish Power meter reader! Wobbleades have been secured by the pennies I save.

27 Years SP customer, and still they love to warm my tootsies in the winter.

Just out of interest, what is your annual consumption for gas and electricity. I assume you live in Perranporth?

Have you considered separating out the gas and electricity? It is considerably cheaper for my supplies.

Gas is 12,500 kwh, has been for 3 years. We use a Honeywell times thermostat, so heating on all day!
Electricity is 3,100 kwh and is used for the kettle! Copious amounts of tea.

Today, GB Energy would be cheaper for electricity, more for gas, but I lose dual fuel discounts of I split the fuels, to save about £3. Cheapest dual fuel is £0.97p cheaper today. GL10 postcode.

Interesting on a DN35 postcode, GB Energy would be £90 cheaper, and on a KA10 postcode, flow would be £131 cheaper!

Makes you think the disparity is based on where someone lives!

The consumptions you have quoted are the OFGEM typical consumptions for the UK, I’d doubt they are your actual consumption. They are what suppliers use by default.

Look at your latest bill, in the right hand column of the 2nd page there should be something titles ‘About your tariff’ this will list your actual consumption. However if you haven't supplied readings to your supplier it may still default to typical consumption.

They are actually and I don't need to look at my bills
    2012-13 G 13,100 E 3,600
    2013-14 G 13,500 E 3,400
    2014-15 G 12,400 E 3,200
    2015-16 G 12,100 E 3,100

Perhaps OffGen use my figures instead!

Using a postcode for Perranporth there are savings of around £70 to be made by moving to GB Energy on a dual fuel contract.(No exit fees).

Splitting the suppliers could save you another £40.

The quotations come out with a monthly DD of around £65 .

Unfortunately, your current supplier charges an exit fee of £60 which makes a current switch less attractive. However, in a falling market you have missed out on some significant savings by simply tariff hopping.

You may want to consider breaking the cycle. I certainly favour suppliers who don't have exit fees which allows greater flexibility of choice and access to the best market offers.
