Brand new dishwasher won't turn on!

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, newbie here.
We've just moved in to our first house and it came with a brand new Electrolux integrated dishwasher. We loaded it up yesterday, switched the power on and pressed the on button - nothing.
If we hold the power button down the lights on the display light up but as soon as we let go it shuts off again. We tried ringing tech support but they aren't open until Tuesday.
Anybody have any ideas?

Valid question, it was the first thing I checked. We read through it all and no help, it's not mentioned in the troubleshooting at the back either0

Obviously the power is getting to the machine as the lights come on.
Have you checked that the water is connected & turned on ??
The inlet hose is not kinked ??
The door is shut properly ??
The child lock system is not activated if there is one ??0 -
Do you know if they've ever used it? We had this problem with our washing machine. We called an engineer out to look at it and it turns out we hadn't removed the plastic plug before connecting it! Luckily he let us off the £60 call out fee.0

I had something similar and it turned out that the fuse kept blowing for some reason. We had just had our kitchen refitted and so the electrician came back. I can't remember what he did to stop the fuse blowing I am afraid.0

My guess is the water isn't getting through and the safety feature is it doesn't turn on.You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.
