3rd party energy broke
we have somehow signed a LOA to a 3rd party to negotiate with British Gas, we have no recollection and when we looked into changing provider British Gas informed us we were tied up with them till 2018. we have now found a copy LOA sent to us in July 2015 with an e signature but still do not recall.we have tried to contact the 3rd party but cannot get an answer and British Gas say we must speak to them, some advice please?

LOA suggests you are a business or commercial rather than domestic.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

I suggest a letter to the 3rd party and copy to BG cancelling the agreement.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

thank you but 3rd party not replying and British Gas have said we need to speak to 3rd party as i said in my original post, i suppose what i am asking is an e signature valid and should British Gas have contacted us to check,0

Yes a e signature will be legal.
I assume you have no correspondence / contract with the broker and nothing relating to how you can cancel the contract.
All you can do is write to them (recorded delivery) - copy to BG - and give them 30 days notice to respond.
If you are switching - do it yourself by ringing around and don't bother with a broker.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
@Paul Lane
Get a solicitor, never rely on random strangers on some website for legal advice. It could get very expensive for your business if you get it wrong and you personally could open yourself to liability issues too.0 -
thank you both for your suggestions/advice0
