apps not loading win10

Hi


got a weird problem , suddenly some of my apps have stopped loading. I have a Toshiba satellite laptop, windows 10, fairly new... the store app, the calculator app, the alarm & clocks app all that are pre loaded no longer work. when I click on them they load for a second then disappear like ive closed it down?


they work fine on another user acc ?


ive googled and tried the win key+ R and then WSreset.exe which hasn't worked. I get an error message "ms-windows-storepurge caches...the remote procedure call failed"?


what else can I try?

create new account , (username1)copy data files and delete original account , rename new account from username(1) to default and used name

I can only create a local account? is that what you mean?


is there no other way? I'm the administrator on the original acc? can it not be fixed?

factory reset? or make the new user account an admin one

any ideas whats caused this? just noticed more and more apps not working

DO NOT reset the machine, if you issue is the one below we can fix it.

Ah does it say that they can't be launched by the administrator account?

no, its not the issue you've highlighted.


I haven't reset the machine, I have now created a second acc and transferred all my data there. I still have the original acc as id like to try and fix it somehow.


basically the store app and any apps I had downloaded no longer load, as they disappear of the screen after one second.


they work fine on the new acc ive created so it must be an acc issue?

Did you run through the fix, it should fix your issue you are just not seeing the error message.

yes ive ran through the checks plus many more and nothings working. mines is win10 by the way, your instructions are for win 8.


thanks anyway. I'm just going to delete that acc
