Bush oven/grill not working?!

Hi there, hope somebody can help!
We've been away for a couple of weeks and having tried to use the oven for the first time today it isn't working!
It's a dual fuel Bush AGE96Rs, gas hob and ignition fine, electric/digital clock fine, but the oven and grill section do nothing when turned on!!
I'm googling like mad and seeing stuff about the timer could need resetting but have played about with it with no joy (although I don't know what I'm doing with it or how to reset it properly as we don't have the manual).
Can anyone help?? Thanks!!

Hopefully this link will work for you and you need page 18. If it doesn't just put your model number + manual into Auntie Google, take the Argos site and then click on "open instruction manual"
ETA just tested link and it took me straight to "how to use the electronic digital timer"0 -
Thanks Le_Kirk, I found the manual online earlier too and whilst I now finally have an oven clock with the correct time on it, the oven still isn't working 😩😩😩
I'll play about with it a bit more tomorrow but looks like I'm going to need to get somebody out to it, it's out of warranty
Thanks again for your help 👍🏼0 -
possibly the element gone, how old is oven? you can often see if its burnt out.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0

Sounds like more than an element if the oven & grill have failed.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

It's maybe around 2 years old. Just seems strange that it was fine before we went away then two weeks later it isn't! Can you tell me how I can check if it's the element? Thanks0

I don't know that particular oven grill combination but it would be unusual to have the same element for the oven and grill. Ovens tend to have side and bottom/top elements whereas a grill would just have a top element. That aside: -
a) is the oven/grill the same compartment?
b) when you turn the control for the oven/grill, does an indicator light come on or not? The indicator usually means power is being sent to the element(s). If no indicator light, points to the control rather than element.
c) regarding checking the element, it would require a competent person to check this out, not something I would recommend a householder to do (apologies if you are a competent person - in which case, power off, liners out, unscrew element holders, disconnect and test with meter)0 -
Thank you for this. Both the grill and oven are the same compartment and the indicator light doesn't work either. We got somebody out and I don't know what it's called but the little electric board behind the oven dial needed to be replaced (a few of the elements had popped up) - he suggested we don't use the gas ring closest to the front left of the oven on too high for too long in future as that would likely have caused it.
All sorted now and definitely not something I could've done myself (not a competent person!).
Thanks again for your help, much appreciated:beer::beer:

Wife's on my back now so if its a straight part change I can do it but if its more I'm going to have to cough up
