Old Codger wants to see the Blackpool lights..

Can anyone recommend a good (not too expensive) hotel in Blackpool . I want to take an elderly lady 83yrs to see the lights (in her words "before its too late". She can't walk far so needs to be fairly central but not noisy... A good B & B that serves evening meals would be good too we want to go in Early October but midweek.... thanks....

http://www.visitblackpool.com/?OBH=849&SPAID=202n is a coach tour of the lights.Nice and warm in a coach too- I found Blackpool to be pretty freezing in October- it's that cold wind that never seems to settle, blows right through you!

Then you can stay somewhere else, Blackpool is pretty popular for Stag/Hen nights, so central and quiet might not go together.;)

I would recommend St Anns really quite close and not so hectic - taxis run all the time and they could go to see the lights, the Glendower Hotel is nice in St Anns and there are really nice restaurants etc. bit of a shopping area and the beach is nice!!!

    Hope this helps,
