How to become self employed while on JSA?

I plan to become self employed next month. And I would like to be claiming housing benefits and any other benefits that I can apply for.

I am currently on JSA with housing benefits. This may come across strange since I am already applying for housing benefits but I am not so sure about the process of becoming self employed. Especially where to start to make sure the Housing benefits is updated or what details to present and what forms I should expect to fill. Do I approach the Jobcentre or housing office?

My business will make just below £1000 in the first month but there will probably be zero profit. I think I have to show estimates for the proof of income when transferring to self employment. I am working on my business plan and cashflow for the first year would this be proof enough?

What steps should I take to become self employed if I am already claiming Housing benefits and JSA?

Also my JSA was suspended for 4 weeks because of a missed sign on. Which was a mistake since I signed on - on the date. I still have to appeal next week. I suspect my Housing benefits have been affected as well. The suspension won't last until the 17th of next month. Suppose I signed off JSA and became self employed and my housing benefits had been suspended as well will the suspension still apply?

Speak to the Jobcentreplus about new enterprise allowance & the council about your hb claim.

I run a popular mathematics website. I sell advertising on the site and my subscribers pay per month in advance. The income is almost enough to cover the rent at the moment without the benefits or NEA support that I will be recieving. I am building my business around the site. The site has been a 4 year project so it is quite old and with good reputation.

I can't prove it - at least not the proper way. Yes I know it. The income from my site usually goes through Paypal sometimes straight into my bank account and in separate amounts. Although I have just started the business - the site has been earning for sometime and have just converted it into a business. I want to spend 2 months while putting certain changes in place before charging my subscribers twice which will get me off housing benefits.

I made a mistake last year. Just after my NEA was approved I had a fire accident then became homeless. And then I made a mistake of not applying for housing benefits since my landlord didn't accept it.

So I am not eligible for NEA. This year I want to do it right before I get started on another business venture.
