I meant, if an individual, such as me, could send leads to an estate agent for people interested in buying or renting, do you know if estate agents might be willing to at least split commission?

I just wondered if anyone has heard of anyone doing this!

While you're at it, you could stand outside your local butchers, seeing if anyone wants to buy some sausages.

If the property is on the right portals and the agent is doing their job properly and has a good database of applicants I can't see why they'd need leads from anyone else.

In a market such as it is in the south east at least, buyers are low value and plentiful. So no I doubt you would find even one who were interested.

If you on the other hand brought good saleable / rentable properties, then yes some independents would give you commission. But only on a successful sale or else it would be a small amount for each one introduced.

But if you are thinking you would get half, you ar very far off the value most would assign. And it would need to not involve something other than chasing the same democratic they already have. One example would be if you could bring in properties from a big land owner etc. An actual contact.
