Soil pipe connection.?

Can anyone help with soil pipe connection question.? We are replacing a cast iron stack pipe with a pvc one and we have located the female joint 12" below floor level. What connection do we need as the PVC pipe is approx. 1/2" smaller than the cast iron original.

Many plumbers will fit a straight pan connector or you can chop it and use a flexible connector.
