Hi went onto Argos website to look at the discounts and it states spend £100 or over on indoor furniture and get 15% discount, after looking for the code, I chatted online to one of their sales reps, and guess what? they don't have this promotion despite advertising it on their site - my chat with the sales rep is as follows

Yes OP has definitely got the wrong end of the stick here. A quick glance at the prices show that there is 15% off already, as the chat operator stated. No need for any codes.

When I worked in customer services I always found it pretty funny when people acted like this.
I would explain that they contacted me, not the other way around and if they want help then it's no use acting all hard done by that they have has to take time from their £50 per hour job to call or spend an additional minute getting the information that I would need to resolve their issue.
Probably why I don't have a customer facing role any more!0 -
