I don't work now due to disability which will be for life. Am I correct in thinking that although I'm not working but not looking for work or expected to work ever again, I don't have to class myself as "Unemployed" for car insurance or other insurance (buildings / home contents)?
If so what occupation type do I call myself, I'm only 47 so don't think retired would be correct and our daughter lives away at Uni so there's only me and my hubby at home, so I'm not a "home maker" either (not by my thinking anyway!). I'd love some advice as for the past year when I've renewed my insurances I've chosen to select "Unemployed". Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks:)

You can put unemployed due to disability. Some insurers allow you to put 'houseperson'. Ring up potential insurers for advice on what to put.0
