Income protection problems getting cover

Hi All,
We wanted to get some income protection so have contacted a broker (not sure if that the correct term). They took all the details and then refused cover. This is despite no health problems that effect work.
The sticking point was that the OH is on Prozac, she did suffer from an eating disorder. They have stated that because shes still on medication no one will cover her. Does this sound correct? Any advice on getting cover? Seems very harsh...
Thanks

You might be better off each getting "single" cover instead of "joint" cover. The broker should have mentioned that.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Hi Happy thanks for the reply. This was single cover, just for her.0

Prozac/eating disorders are signs of mental health, which is the biggest claim on income protection.
There could be ways for you to get it, but its probably not going to be a conventional income protection policy.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
