Student content insurance - advice please

Hi my son is in his second year at UNI. He is moving in to a house with 5 others. I want to get him some contents insurance for his gear, he has a lot of expensive musical equipment and computer stuff. Are there any specialist sites for student insurance? He just needs contents not the bulidings insurance. Cheers.

Endsleigh do specific student insurance.

Some (not all) household policies may cover him. You'd have to read your own policy to find out if yours does.

engsleigh are very expensive compared to others. try www.cover4students.com (i used them last year) or www.sisdirect.co.uk (currently with them) as I found them much cheaper. only reason i've changed to sisdirect is because i changed cities completely for my placement and they offered better rates, but bother are worth a look!

Thanks, just tried sisdirect and they were less than half the price of endsleigh.
They even beat moneysupertmarket by a third.

Just got a very cheap quote from karmainsurance.com..about a third of Endsleighs price.. may be worth a try
