Just a heads up to anyone else who uses PayPal I've been receiving at least 3 fake emails a day for the past week claiming that my personal details have been changed, I immediately forwarded them to PayPal and contacted them by phone to check my account was secure.
PayPal confirmed that the emails were fake and that the scammers have been working over time over the past month, sending out 200% more phishing emails than usual
So be very alert if you think an email is fake. DONT reply to it
DONT click on any links in the email
NEVER disclose your personal info in an email
FORWARD the fake email to. Sppof@paypal.com
And contact PayPal ASAP BUT DONT USE THE CONTACT DETAILS IN THE FAKE EMAIL

I've had a slight increase in them over the last two weeks, eg
" Your account Paypal will be closed in 48H"
" we've disable on your paypal account until hear from you"0 -
Just ignore/delete them. The email address on these is always ridiculous.
If you fall for them you deserve to be defrauded!0 -
I have never used PayPal, and am inundated with them - I just "spam" them.
LinYou can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0 -

Most people recognise these spoof emails immediately, the fact that you had to phone paypal probably meant they were concerned that you were perhaps new to all this, and felt they needed to give you extra reassurance .I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
