Wrong P60 salary

Hi all
My "umbrella" issued me wrong P60 details.
Between July 2015 and January 2016 my gross income was around £13000. I had a gap in employment due to holidays in February, and in March 2016 my income was £1568.
My P60 says i earned £1568.
They did not include my previous income between July and January. Last payslip from January says total income £12907.
How can I proceed now with HMRC?

I would take it up with the Umbrella company rather than HMRC in the first instance, better if they can correct and reissue the P60 at source.0

They probably put you down as a leaver in January and then put you on as a new starter for March, hence only March payroll on the P60. They've probably issued a P45 for the period up to January.0

Just tried to reconcile my first year's ltd company accounts to my spreadsheet where I track all receipts & payments. Turns out my "accountants" have mis-stated my directors pay. They also got my 2014-15 P60 wrong as well it transpires because of the same error.
By the time I received the P60 I had already submitted the correct figure on my personal tax return and that was accepted by HMRC without query. Not sure what that says about the accuracy of the HMRC systems that supposedly match up tax returns with employer payroll submissions!Ethical moneysaver0 -

"acceptance" doesn't mean that HMRC have checked it. It's merely a confirmation that they've received it and simple "noddy" checks mean it's passed initial validation.
They are actually "checked" at a later date - HMRC have over a year to actually cross-check the data submitted in your SA return against other sources, such as payroll submissions.
If your SA is wrong, then you can simply submit a corrected return with the right figures on it.0 -
Cheers for that. Fortunately my self assessment was correct & the P60 wrong. My P45 from a previous employer was also wrong but I put the correct figure on the SA with a note. A year has gone by since I submitted the return so hopefully all put to bed ...Ethical moneysaver0
