Anyone know what 'Query on account' means on a credit report?

I've just received my credit file from Equifax and everything seems fine except this one thing. I was with TalkTalk until last June and although the account now shows as settled, there are 5 previous months where is shows a "Q" which they say means a query on the account.

Could anyone tell me what this could be, if this is a problem or could in any way affect my credit rating?

There was never any problems with payments on the account. There was one issue when I was charged for an openreach visit and shouldn't have been, but it was sorted out within a couple of days. I'm wondering if the query relates to this somehow, but wouldn't have thought it would end up on a credit file and it doesn't make sense that the query would still be there for 5 months.

As far as I'm aware 'query on account' means that the account status wasn't updated by TalkTalk for those months. It shouldn't have an adverse effect on your credit history but I suggest contacting Equifax to confirm this.
