I am not legally trained nor have I bean to the small claims court either , plus the LBCCC sticky thread in the crabman sticky thread thread is out of date on here, but yes you could play email tennis or letter tennis at this LBC stage
as for the court process, you would need to draft a proper court defence , even if it includes the arguments used for the popla appeal
I suggest you study about 20 court defence drafts posted on here over the last 12 months to see what they look like (so nothing prior to 2016 due to various court case outcomes , especially the BEAVIS case)
there is a section in the NEWBIES sticky thread, headed SMALL CLAIM , please read it and also read all the bargepole links and posts over the last few months too - he tells it like it is0 -

I appreciate your comments about the County Court process.
Do you have any advice as to how I should respond to the letter? Should I just restate the same argument that I made with the POPLA appeal?
If/when it comes to the CC Claim, and I enter a defence, should I simply use the same arguments that I used for the POPLA appeal?
Please read the NEWBIES thread first.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
