am after a 2 camera CCTV system for the house, but would prefer wireless due to everywhere having just been plastered, decorated and floor laid (I know, done it the wrong way round)

Is there a prefered brand, and what should i look for please?

Please scrap that, I've since done a search and decided against wireless, so will look to get a wired system.

Most wireless analogue cameras will be pretty limited in quality, but you can get very good quality IP cameras using wifi.

It's also worth noting that even with "wireless" cameras you're going to have to run a power cable.

With power over IP you can run whatever network cable you want to it, then make the end connection yourself (if you've never done it before it's worth buying a cable checker before you plug it all in), so the combined wiring can be little bigger than the power cable.
