Esa assessment very short - help needed

It's just simply taken that long for assessment, we did have an assessment with a nurse back in October but the waiting time in the reception was over 3 hours from the standard appointment time, my partner had a panic attack and collapsed in the waiting area because of this. We were advised we could only have a 9am appointment to avoid this. We were given a nurse appointment in Dec of last year, we went to that appointment and was told by the nurse that as my partner has extensive plastic surgery on his face and nerve damage due to a dog attack (that is a cause of his PTSD) that he could only be seen by a Dr. It's just taken this long to be seen.0

It just seems strange.
I guess if its a phone call its bad news, a letter good news
Hi, mine was short less than 30mins, a lady took me and she had taken a few people before me
As we were driving back she said dont worry things will be ok.
That was all the taking with did about it, and yes she was right.
My next one may be different as the lady is now retired and with family all over the uk and aboard, she taking time to travel and stay with family.
I know she would help/take me again but i would not dream of asking now shes retired0
