Still not worth the fee. Tesco seems to have forgotten just who their target market is.

Maybe they're trying to exploit a new niche market.

Upto £450 off posh flights, points that can be valued at £200 in some circumstances, decent travel cover etc must have a value to some.

It is fairly niche as the £5000 spend has to be in Tesco (i.e. an average of about £100 per week).

Easy enough for a family who've not discovered Aldi.

It depends how you value the benefits you get in return, surely?

Perhaps one's Dictionary of Quotations (or even just https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Oscar_Wilde), with the famous line about the cynic knowing the price of everything and the value of nothing?

I've not checked the T&C's but when does the fee become payable? Can you use the card for 11 months, obtaining the benefits then cancel and avoid the fee?

Thats the only way i'd consider such a card.

No the fee is placed when the card is open and certainly within the first 30 days.

No chance of using card without paying fee.
