Are John Lewis warrenty's transferable? Have a problem with a laptop bought from them

I am sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place but hope some one can help me. As title states are John Lewis warranties transferable.
I have a laptop that a relative bought my son last year from John Lewis. They gave me origonal receipt and paper work when they gave laptop to my son.

Laptop is still under warrenty but has started to go wrong I think hard drive has failed. If I contact John Lewis will they honor warrenty if I did not buy it my self.


Like I said I have origonal receipt and paper work.

Any advice much appreciated

JL have great customer service. Take your receipt and laptop instore and explain the problem and let them know it was a gift for your son.
