Permanent Health Insurance the right option?

Hello
I have read through advice and am just checking that I am on the right track. I think permanent health insurance is the right option and that I need to consult an ifa but just want to check.
My circumstances are as follows:
1. £10.000 mortgage covered by Scotttish Widows policy. I have life assurance paying same amount to cover mortgage £12.00 monthly for mortgage which is obviously decreasing. Having read the site I think this is quite a bad deal arranged through Lloyds which I need to cancel. Have had it 4 years.
2. Female 51 yrs non smoker. No smoker. No permanent employment. Agency working professional clearing 700 pw but no definite contract period so can cease employment at any time.
3. Partner 52yrs non smoker. Unemployed after period of caring for elderly parent now deceased.
4. I have no insurance in place other than Scottish Widows above as formerly public servant and had associated benefits of 4xdeath in service, 6mths sick pay etc. Now out on my own in employment terms.
I am looking for insurance product to do following:
1. Cover in case of death of myself or partner to provide approx. £250,000 to enable appropriate lifestyle until retirement.
2. Lump sum or yearly income of 20,000 until retirement age 15 yrs in event of illness or accident that prevents working.
Death - appears best met by level term insurance for 250,000
Lump sum/monthly best by permanent health insurance over 15 years. My understanding need to consult ifa for this.
I am quite anxious about sorting this out as have nothing in place and in last few months friend my age died of lung cancer and closest friend has had diagnosis of aggressive breast cancer.
Is unbiased.com place to go for ifa and how quickly can this be sorted out - can it be done over phone as time off for me is unpaid?
