MBNA Application Query

Options
Hi,

Just applied for an MBNA card - the eligibility check said I'd have a good chance of getting the card and so I submitted a full application. It came back saying 'sorry, we can't give you an immediate decision, please call us'.

Almost an instant later, I then received an email from them saying my application had been approved and giving me my credit limit!

So, now I'm thoroughly confused!!

Anyone else had experience of this? I have tried to call them but the department I need is closed (typically!)

  • I am pretty sure it's like Deja vu as last week or so there was an exactly similar post.

search in the credit cards section and you will find it in first 2-3 pages

Thank you. I did have a quick look.

I've just called them also and they confirmed it had been approved. The person I spoke to said they had no idea why it came back saying to call them. Weird.

That actually happened to me and I did post it up here last week. The card came in the end and I have been using it without any trouble.

Similar with virgin money. Checker said 100% approved. 5 days later email confirming offer with actual rates as advertised. No instan decisions there. 40 months 0%
