Hi all,
I rented a car and some stone must have hit the windscreen and the rent company charge me 275 pounds for the cost.
I had already bought a excess insurance with carhirexcess. I have checked and the policy and the windscreen its covered, but what is confusing me is, that i dont know when happen.
I guess was one day on the highway that was raining and i felt a hit on the car. Obviously was just bad luck, so i didn't write nothing on the form the rent company gave me, because didn't want write something naively that may be used against me.
Has anyone a experience dealing with this broker?
Any advise how should explain the accident?
I dont know, if just saying, the car was hit on highway, there was no third party involved, neither my fault.?

For something like a chip in the windscreen, I would have thought your best guess would be good enough.
I doubt that they will be expecting you to name a third party for a windscreen chip.0 -
It's not about fault. They just need the relevant paperwork from the car hire company in order to process the claim. Don't panic.
