Just doing my tax credit form.
I received a dividend of £13,000
My dividend voucher says;
Payment £13,000
Tax credit= £1,444.44
Gross dividend - £14,444.44
Is it the £14,444 that goes in the additional income?

Rather than get opinions from forum members why don't you pick up the phone and get facts.

Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

What would be the point in having this forum if we just tell everyone to call?0 -

This forum answers questions where a call is maybe not appropriate or where something is complicated. In addition it helps if a call is made and the response isn't clear or it desn't seem right
I do, however, see a number of posts where I really don't get why the author does not make a phone call before coming on here. Particularly, as some answers are not correct on MSE0 -

In complicated cases or case specific questions then yes but the OPs question was neither of those.0 -
It just seems to be that people cannot be bothered to pick up the phone and would rather get answers off of strangers on an internet forum, Things like the post here would be a very simple phone call and the time and effort used to create a thread and then await the answers back would be far too time consuming against a really simple phone call.
I cannot see why it is done to be honest and there are lots of silly questions people throw out when they could just as easy use a search engine or make a call, I think it is Todays society of being babysat 24-7 that has people lazy and not capable of doing things for themselves, If taken the wrong way then so be it but my point is people need to learn to do things instead of relying on others.0 -
It takes 2 minutes to post, you'd be on hold far longer than that and still can't guarantee you'd get the right answer.
Google on the other hand. . .0 -

Hmm. I am reminded of what my doctor said about Google
It is very good after you have been diagnosed - before you have been diagnosed is a completely different thing0 -

Well indeed. I was responding to your general point about the forum and phone calls.0 -
I'd wager MSE gives the right answer more often than the HMRC tax credits office! This forum answers questions where a call is maybe not appropriate or where something is complicated. In addition it helps if a call is made and the response isn't clear or it desn't seem right
