    Given how much money he has and how much he pretends to be green he should have bought a new Nissan Leaf, thereby supporting jobs in the UK. Buying a second hand British car doesn't help anyone.

    The second hand car dealer sells all sorts of cars, not just British ones. They don't care if you buy a car that was originally made in the UK

    It did help the dealer as he shifted a car so therefore he benefited from David going to see him, Would not make a jot of difference if he purchased a £1500.00 or a £50.000 car as I have said before some people just seem to hate whoever is in power.

    I think it was just a PR stunt, haven't worked out yet what was behind it. Why the cameras there. If his wife really needed a second hand car he could have bought it without any publicity.
