Default on credit report

Hi there,
I just got my report there as I was refused a credit card. Now on checking the report TSB bank had lodged a default on a current account that had no overdraft facility and as per the conditions there is an interest free threshold of 10GBP. The account was over by 10.16GBP. I actually was not aware of it at all as I moved and actually visited a branch with a letter to change the address. I was under the impression the account was at a nil balance. I can only presume they charged me for being over 16p and this resulted in the account being o/d by 10.16 and therefore defaulting! any idea on how I can fix this? It was 2 years ago. Also on the report it has the marker 1 / 2 then D.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all,
I sent an email over to TSB in regards to this. How long are they required to send a reply?
thanks!0 -
I would call them first and explain that this is an over reaction to 16p and that they should have called you. I presume you don't use this account anymore and that they have closed it.
I would offer the pay the 10.16 and walk away as long as they remove the default or you will go to the financial Ombudsman and complain and then see what they do.0
