Computer Monitor

Hi
The on/off button on my computer monitor is starting to stick and when I push the button in I have to work at it to get it out again. The rest of the computer is working fine so I just need to buy a new monitor. My question is can I buy any brand of monitor or must it be a Cube monitor to go with the Cube pc?
If I can go for any monitor can anyone recommend one? I do not use my pc for gaming or watching movies so I do not need high spec.
Thanks

Any monitor will do.
You could try unscrewing your current monitor and having a clean around the button. Should just be a case of removing the casing and wiping down with a wet wipe, shouldnt have to mess about with any wires.0 -
Just leave your monitor switched on. If they don't receive a signal, they go into power save mode which uses virtually no power. If you still want to switch it off, get yourself one of those master/slave extension leads which switch off all "slave" sockets when the master socket doesn't draw any power.

You have to watch you get the right connection of course. VGA,DVI or HDMI.0

The right connection shouldn't matter that much
Most monitors have multiple different connections, and so do most graphics cards
And even if they don't have the same, it's easy to convert between them.0 -
Power the monitor off at the mains, and squirt a small amount of WD40 round the edges of the on/off button on the monitor.
Press the button in and out until you get bored.
Make some coffee or tea. Drink it.
Press the button in and out again until you get bored, again.
Dry off all round the button with a tissue or some kitchen roll.
Leave at least overnight in the hope that most of the liquids will have evaporated.
If it works, congratulate yourself on having saved £lots!0 -
Stop using the power button! Easy.0

Sometimes the simplest solutions are staring you right in the face...
