Hi,
I'm currently checking out two different ceramic double bowl sinks which are in very different price ranges.
I'm think of under mounting them on a granite worktop.
Why are the prices so different? Is the quality of one really so much better?
1. Rak Gourmet 10 - cost around £220
2. Shaws classic 800 - cost around £470
What am I missing? Can't see many reviews on them.
Thanks...

Anyone have any views on this as I'm struggling to find views on these sinks or other suggestions0

As you've got no replies I'll pitch in. Why on earth do you want a ceramic sink when stainless steel is so much better?Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

Well I'm sure not everyone would agree. We happen to like ceramic sinks and think they look very good and are just as practical. A stainless one was a close second however so we haven't completely decided.0

I put a ceramic in at home 17 months ago, it has a couple of chips and scratches now and we are pretty careful. I wish I'd gone for stainless or a black granite style.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0

We used to have a stainless steel sink and found it always needed polishing, clearly showed water marks (hard water area) and did scratch easily. The present one is brown ceramic and over twenty five years old (I think it may be Astracast) .The only damage is a little chip in the bowl area caused by our son's dropping a sharp knife vertically.
It will soon be replaced with a black Franke Fragranite sink, recommended by the new kitchen supplier, who put me off returning to stainless steel by reminding me of the above.0
