what claims count on home insurance

When using comparison sites they ask about prior claims.
If a policy includes Home Emergency as an add-on, and you claim for a boiler breakdown, do you have to declare this?
Or do you ignore it because it is a seperate policy to the buildings/contents?

With us, I tell customers that it refers to claims on the buildings or content section rather than on Home Emergency etc, as those claims don't affect NCD or require an excess.0
