Hi, I'm in the market for a new TV. My budget is £500 and so far I have come up with 2 possibilities.
A Sony
https://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/KD-49X8505B
or a Samsung
http://www.coopelectricalshop.co.uk/Samsung-UE48JU6400-Black-48inch-4K-Ultra-HD-TV-Smart-LED-Freeview-HD/id-SAM-LED-UE48JU6400-BK
Both are exactly the same price and are 4K TVs but as with most thing you get good and bad reviews for each.
Does anyone have either or an opinion on which is best?
Also, does anyone have any other suggestions for this kind of size and this price?
TIA

Yeah, that's where I was going to go for the Samsung if I went for that but they don't sell the Sony which means I will be sold the Samsung. I trust Richer sounds opinion but they don't have both as an optionSome people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!0

Picture is good but needs help with sound
I haven't bothered with the 4k as anything on 1080 is very good0 -

who is selling the Sony for less than 500?0 -
Thanks, I'm leaning more towards the Samsung as I keep reading reviews of problems with the android tv software on the Sony. I've got an android box that works already and Richer sounds are including a 6 year warranty with the Samsung. Some people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!0

I have http://www.argos.co.uk/m/static/Product/partNumber/5063736.htm which I bought last week.
Android seems to be a lil slower at first startup but no problems after. I installed kodi to it and that runs well. Tried some uhd content and looks really nice. Plenty of picture options.0 -
I wouldn't be buying a 4K TV unless it was '4K HDR' - make sure either of these has it...0
