The Vax Gator Pet is so good at the basics that we have made it a Best Buy. It isn’t quite as easy to use as some more expensive models, but it’s brilliant on carpet, hard floor and pet hair, and is a genuine bargain.

Thanks for taking the time to post this Ms Chocaholic but it can't be wall mounted unfortunately.
I've decided to go with a Hoover model from Argos as I can always return it if it isn't suitable.

I know you said cordless but I very recently purchased a Von Haus from Amazon for £15, free delivery being a prime member, it isn't cordless but it's brilliant. Bought it for exactly the same reason as you. Just use it in the kitchen . Have a gtech for everywhere else, which is cordless and excellent but that's expensive. The suction on the Von Haus is every bit as good and cable winds onto vacuum dead easy.

I went for the Hoover Jovis SJ72DA4 and it meets my needs very well.
I'm very happy with it
