PPI Claim Management Issue

Hi All,
The company that handles my Debt Management suggested to me to try for PPI, as i am very busy and didn't think i had anything to lose they pressed on with the claims and i got some money back.
One of the accounts was Barclays and they rejected the authorisation letter from the claims company but did send me a letter saying they thought i did have a claim and would i go online to fill out the forms, anyway the other day i received 2 letters from Barclay, one stating again that the company representing me did not have authorisation to deal with my claim and the second letter was a payment of £2k.
I have now received another letter from the company that was representing me asking for authority to pursue after i have settled, so based upon the fact that i did the claim myself but they did handle another 4 for me and that no signed letter was accepted by Barclays, should it let the claims company know and pay the fees?
Thanks
Paul

If you've signed a contract with the Claims Company, it's legally binding and you'll have to pay them regardless.
On what basis did Barclays "refuse" your authorisation letter?0 -
Who is the debt management company and who is the CMC?0

Thanks for the replies, it seems that if anybody acts on you behalf with Barclay's they require 2 forms of I.D for proof.
The debt management is Money Plus and Richardson Mail.0 -
No obvious connection between the two.
So I think you need to pay up.0
